-If you leave a publicly rated review on something, make sure you seperate your own personal tastes from your opinion on the quality of the media in question. For example: I dislike bdsm. If i read a story about bdsm and dislike it despite it being a well-excuted work, should i leave a bad review? Ofc not! The story was well-executed, no amount of me disliking the subject matter can undo that. I frequently see people lowballing works simply due to them personally disliking petty things and it's frustrating to whitness and unfair to the authors.
