I read (mostly) BL. I like my characters to be green flags and my smut to be consensual, and I prefer stories where the drama comes from actual issues, not just engineered angst. I’m not into omegaverse, tragedy, dubcon tropes, or unsafe BDSM. I’m a sucker for comedic and healthy smut. I’m generally against censorship. - Hell & High Water: BL, completed. Very unique story that isn’t plagued by the regular BL tropes. The smut is chef’s kiss and the art is impressive.
- Banana Scandal: BL, completed. One of the greatest redemption arcs of all time. Season 3 is where the real green-flag magic happens.
- Our Sunny Days: BL, ongoing. Blissfully free of dubcon or SA of any kind. This one is a unicorn made of fluff.
- One-Room TA: BL, ongoing. I love these two ding-dongs so much.
- DEAR. DOOR: BL, completed. Warning that it has SA/rape, but it is actually depicted as such. Basically, it’s a bunch of demons fucking and getting fucked up. Surprisingly funny and sweet.
- Fake Fact Lips: BL, completed. This is about two dummies who go from frenemies to boyfrenemies. It’s super cute.
- Full Volume: BL, completed. If you like beefy bottoms and consensual smut, this one is for you. CW for coercive sex work, but it’s not between the MC & ML.
- Love So Pure: BL, completed. I personally didn’t like the 1st ML and almost dropped it. But the 2nd couple is an absolute joy, and the depiction of queer found-family, neurodiversity, and a canon bisexual MC, make this story incredible.
- Undercover Partners: BL, completed. Two gay power couples, with a whole bunch of communication and green-flag behaviour. It’s a story about queer joy and excellence, instead of another story about queer trauma.
- Legendary Dick VS Ironclad Butthole: BL, ongoing. It’s as ridiculous as the title sounds, and it’s also remarkably wholesome and fluffy. Great quick read.
- Tonari no Ren-kun wa Chotto Kowai: BL, completed. It’s rare for me to consider something without smut a favourite, but this is the most adorable nonsense I’ve ever read. It’s so weird, and so charming, and so healthy, and so incredibly funny.

- Avialae by Lucid: BL, completed. It’s got lube, consent, condoms, and a switch couple. The story is incredible and the art is gorgeous.
- I Roved Out in Search of Truth and Love by Alexis Flower: Ongoing. The two MCs are women, but I wouldn’t call it GL. It’s basically just smut. Some of the most beautifully drawn, hilarious, and sexy smut I’ve ever seen. I’m 99% certain that it has an incredible storyline…I’ve just never been able to focus on anything other than the smut 🤷♀️😂
- Spurs & Stripes by RedMari: BL, completed. Gay cowboys without any pesky tragedy. CW for homophobia and a bit of violence.
- Transfusions by Anni K.: BL, ongoing. One of the most unique vampire romance stories I’ve ever seen, and another switch couple. CW for blood and violence.
- The Hunt by Lucid: BL, ongoing. Werewolves, ghosts, witches, and a horny little lunatic for the uke. So good.
- River St. by Lucid: BL, ongoing. A puppy-dog seme who’s a Grim Reaper, and a black cat uke who’s a vampire. Very sexy and cute. TW for violence and blood.
- Hive Heart by FastPuck: BL, completed. An ant and a honey bee fall in love. Very unique story and really sweet.
- Dragon Husbands by FastPuck: BL, completed. Polyamory! Actual, healthy polyamory! Low on smut, and high on consent and fluffiness.
