addicted to bl with dark themes that normal people hate because its like liquor for my brain. psychological themes like kidnapping, obsession, manipulation, non/dubcon, possessiveness, jealousy. but only when done right with an enthralling and captivating plots, otherwise its just mediocre and unenjoyable like a child trying to copy the work of Agatha Christie. i find it funny reading the comments of people complaining about stories which include these themes while im silently sitting in the back enjoying the hell out of it - if you cant handle it, dont read it.
i never really drop manhwas unless the art is horrifically juvenile. i just love the kind of artstyles where you can tell they have been sketched with rough linework still showing (most of the stories below) unlike extremely polished artstyles like jinx or love remedy (although still like them)

Stories that left a permanent imprint on my brain:
- Profundis (guideverse, non/dubcon, initially 4 tops,) I am in love with Shinje
- In Cold Love (snake top, 2 appendages, reincarnation) I LOVE THIS MANHWA AHHHHHH
- Aporia (BDSM, completed release, con) the art is delectable i want to inhale it, probably one of the most healthy stories ive read
- Killing Stalking (kidnapping, noncon) essentially most well known/ hated dark story but i loved every second of it. i cried at the ending. author-nim does an astounding job making you want to root for them to work out in the end, thats what i love about psychological stories when they are done right (just dont call it a bl or people will come at you with pitchforks) oh and anyone who makes the mom it feels good jokes can get the f out because i dislike immature idiots who dont know how to process dark stories :) whoops rant
- A Tree Without Roots (kidnapping and locking mc up against his will, obsessive, psychotic, uncensored) i dont care i love hee-seo and the psychology behind these characters and the plot is deliciously disgusting, one of my most favourite manhwas of all time
- Non Zero Sum (3 tops, abusive, noncon, psychotic, held against will, obsessive) very hardcore, and i mean very. perhaps even worse than Killing Stalking. almost every chapter comes with a trigger warning. author-nim does an exceptional job at portraying manipulation and the breakdown of mc's mind because of it. chapter after chapter of psychological torture :)
- A Twisted Fate (noncon, definitely unhealthy) the art is ethereally majestic and baeksa is the best drawn bottoms i have ever seen
- Checkmate (i love the psychology that is woven throughout this plot) the art is beautiful. i hope professor park hangs himself :)
- Pufferfish and Dolphins (noncon) this short story is one of the few that actually broke me a little

Stories with a milder psychotic element but its still prominent: - Dear Teddy Bear (noncon) knock-off Tree Without Roots but the plot is different and enticing
- Obey Me/How to Obey(kidnapping, noncon) the themes are very dark but it didnt have that much of an impact because the art is kind of juvenile
- Obey Me/Absolute obedience order (omegaverse, psychological, dubcon) i found this by accident when searching for the other manhwa but i am so glad i did because this is a hidden gem. yes please control him tell him what to do i love that shit
- Hold Over You (noncon, reincarnation) stories that have characters with attachment issues hit me so hard in the gut its like my alcohol because its so addictive
- Lima Syndrome (noncon) cant really remember this one but i know its good
- The Corrosive/The Rotten (apocalyptic, noncon, obsessive) the top protects uke from everyone and im defending the top from the banshees in the comment section
- The Heart Of The Lotus (noncon, historical, uncensored, held against will) i have mixed feelings about this one. the king is pathetically cruel which is uncalled for.

Stories that are popular for a reason: - Under the Greenlight (uncensored, psychological) i absolutely love everything about this. im always sceptical about stories which are popular because they probably dont contain themes i enjoy (like noncon) but this one really proved me wrong. the plot is unique and thrilling, and the art is delectable. strong bottoms are my weakness, ily Jin
- Walk On Water (heartthrob) i pulled an all nighter and binged it. absolutely fantastic
- The Nerd Project (uncensored) my lord was this a slow burn, but the burn was worth the wait *wink. my friend convinced me to read this and im glad they did. the art and the character of Andrew both reminded me of Matthew from Under the Greenlight which was a bonus
- Jinx (uncensored) yes, yes I know, everyone despises this one. it was okay. i hope that kim dan and jaekyung can have a happy ending where jaekyung stops acting like a complete toad
- Dear Door (uncensored, supernatural) ive seen a few people say the art is weird, and if you think that then you are weird because the art in this is absolutely exceptional. i remember feeling sad for the long white haired guy

- Red Candy (candy is such a cutie and i love professor park (not the ass from checkmate though, he can still go hang himself))
- Low Tide In Twilight (omegaverse, noncon) this story progressed to be very sweet. i find it amusing how the people who complain whenever there is rape just decided to forget about the beginning of this story in the name of 'plot development' and 'character redemption' but here we are. the ending was a bit rushed in my opinion but overall i still enjoyed it
- Dawn of the Dragon (supernatural, dubcon, uncensored) the top is adorable when he cries omg. the plot is unqiue and had me sobbing
- Don't Mess With The Pooch! (animals) i liked this story way more than i thought that i would. little puppy is so cute when carried around by scary wolf *cringes but its okay
- In Your Wake (omegaverse) this is so sweet they need to just accept their feelings already GOD
- Love remedy (3 tops, uncensored) this story is so bad that its good
- What I Can't Tell You (both bottoms OMG, switch) very heartwarming and unique plot
