Basically, this means my reading style is all about full-on sensory perception. Just seeing isn’t enough for me, I need to ℱⅇℯł it.

That’s why I want to share with you my personal little guide that helps me enjoy my reads to the fullest. Maybe it’ll sound obvious to some, but it could be useful to others. Worst case, at least I entertained you with my random brain dumps.

How to Move from Plan to Read to Reading without regret

Navigating reviews:

1. Only read reviews where people actually take the time to describe their thoughts on the story (those are usually the closest to what you’ll really get from the manhwa).

2. Don’t just check the upvoted comments, use the filter for most recent one.

^{If someone just read it and dropped it, at least you’re prepared. It might not be that bad, but it helps avoid getting blindsided.}

3. If you’re looking for Smut, same rule as 1: trust only long reviews.

3.1 Sometimes someone giving it a 7/10 smut rating is secretly hiding a solid 10/10. We all perceive things differently.

4. NEVER trust comments saying the bottom/uke is a pushover, spineless, annoying, etc. Most of the time, that just means the character is being victim-blamed while dealing with a manipulative top/seme.

5. Just because a manhwa/manhua/manga is popular doesn’t mean it’s actually good.

6. If you’re about to read Wet Sand or Low Tide In Twilight, PLEASE don’t look at the comments if you want to keep your sanity. People get feral and will jump at your throat if you dare question their fave.
