The mighty Shutakatsukasa family, the empire’s wealthiest conglomerate, possesses a mansion with a very special garden—one where all four seasons exist at once. This garden also serves as a powerful barrier, protecting the imperial capital from the encroachment of malevolent insects.

The garden is tended by caretakers chosen from the Four Great Houses, each representing a season.

After losing her parents at a young age, Hisakura was taken in by the main household of the Harusaki family, one of the four. There, she suffered under the cruelty of the family’s daughter and was treated as less than even a servant.

One day, however, everything changed when Hisakura played her late father’s keepsake violin. At the moment of mortal danger, a large, strong hand reached out to save her and lift her up.
